Part XXXIII: Choc-Oat-Chip Cookies

Well, these were basically the exact same recipe as the Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies and the Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies, with the addition of oats.

So many cookies!!!!

The irises in our yard are starting to bloom

Verdict: Out of this week's selections, these cookies were my favorite. I think the oats helped them keep their shape and not turn out as flat as my previous two attempts at chocolate chip cookies.

Next Week's Selections:

Oatmeal Scotchies

Hershey's "Perfectly Chocolate" Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies

Part XXXII: Oatmeal Brownie Drops

Basically these are just chocolate chocolate chip cookies with oatmeal thrown in for good measure.

Softened butter

Add sugar

Intermission

Add oats to the dough

Then chocolate chips

Trippy

Verdict: Tasty but strangely dry. I think a teaspoon of cinnamon would have enhanced the flavor...next time!

Part XXXI: Crunch Chocolate Chip Cookies

I'm not feeling very bloggy today, so I'll just get down to it. I just checked this recipe, Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies, with Part XXX: Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies, and for the first time realized....they are the exact same recipe. The only difference is that the Toll House recipe has me baking the cookies for 9-11 minutes, and the Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe calls for eight minutes of baking time.
I'm not quite sure how LESS time in the oven would make these cookies crunchier.

All the ingredients needed for this week's three recipes

Just like with last week's cookies, these came out flat as pancakes. Why?

Verdict: Once again the cookies are flat, but tasty. However, they were not crunchy. I left them in the oven longer then the eight minutes and that did not result in any more crunchiness. Oh well.
